The success of the 35 -year old Canadian-born Ghanaian actress cannot be disputed. As she has strived through in the industry to make it to the top.

In 2010,Jackie Appiah was named the Best Actress in Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards;and Best Actress in a supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2007.Since then she has been a significant figure in the Ghana Movie Industry and Is one of the most highly rated actresses in Africa.

UCC OPTOMETRY STUDENTS MARK WORLD VISION DAY WITH EYE SCREENING

A member of OSAG-UCC screening a participant 10th October, internationally earmarked as the world vision day is meant to raise public awareness of blindness and vision impairment. Celebrating the occasion, the Optometry Students Association of Ghana, UCC Chapter (OSAG-UCC), undertook a free eye screening exercise on Thursday while counselling participants based on the respective outcome of the screening. As part of the exercise, the students also sensitised participants on lifestyles that will inure to the benefit of the health of the eyes. The group further stressed on the need to prevent digital eye strain by reducing screen times.
