After announcing that the only thing left for him to do with his trip to Ghana was to meet Sarkodie, American rapper Chance The Rapper finally met with the highly decorated Ghanaian rapper. In an instagram story , Chance shared a video together with Sarkodie and said “Something is coming”. The Grammy-winning rapper  is currently in Ghana with Ghanaian-American singer  Vic Mensa , reuniting with the motherland. After claiming that his grandparents are of Ghanaian descent, Chance seizes every opportunity to reconnect with his ancestor, as evidenced by several videos that have surfaced online.   On Monday, January 10, another video has surfaced online showing Chance the rapper and one of Africa’s finest rappers, Sarkodie, linking up in a penthouse in Ghana to make music. While we keep our fingers crossed for the collaboration, it is definitely going to be worth the wait.

Rapper Sarkodie has succeeded in organising what promises to be an unprecedented face-off between two of Ghana’s finest music producers and sound engineers, particularly in the 90’s and early 2000’s. What started as a mere show of intent on a rather lighter note suddenly gained weight after fans, artistes, producers and engineers alike endorsed it with such energetic enthusiasm. One of such endorsements is that of Swizz-beats as shown below: The showdown is expected to come off on Wednesday, 1st April at 7 PM via a live feed on Instagram and with the hashtag, ‘BehindDaHitz’. Less than a week after the release of Sarkodie’s BLACK LOVE album, it has placed 3rd of the official list of Audiomack’s most-streamed albums with 3.16 million streams. Sharing the information on social media, the international music streaming platform tweeted, Sarkodie is set to entertain his fans at this year’s Rapperholic Concert happening today at the Grand Arena, AICC.

Polls are ongoing for various categories of this prestigious awards ceremony which comes off next year and this includes the selection of some international acts across the globe to enviably perform at the occasion. By Jeremy Decker Photo of GH Artiste of The Decade, Sarkodie  Edward Nana Poku, known in showbiz as Hammer has described Sarkodie - BET Award Winning Artiste and Ghana's Artiste of The Decade - as an institution that needs to be studied.  According to Hammer, King Sark has and is still paying his dues monumentally to the GH music industry in multiple facets. He asserted that the rapper has built himself from just a rapper to an institutional embodiment worth studying if the industry seeks to reproduce more of his kind.  He also stressed that the Sarkcess Music Boss is lightyears apart from the several other artistes of his generation.  He made these comments on Joy FM's Monday's Super Morning Show.

"One, the founder is Reggie Rockstone; and Obrafour who thought us how it's done; and Sarkodie took us to the world," the legendary producer shared in his succinct lecture. "These are the three pillars, these are the three impact points of our game and I stick to it', he added.
