  UPDATE: A 21-year old man, Gideon Asuako, who stole parts of the artificial pitch at Drobo Faaman to use as carpet in his room, has been jailed 7 years. A prison officer friend at Sunyani confirms to me he has just been brought there to begin his sentence term. The Berekum Circuit Court presided over by His Lordship Osei Kofi Amoako has sentenced a 21-year-old resident of Dwenem in Jaman South Municipality, Gideon Asuako, to 7 years imprisonment for stealing. Gideon and an accomplice stole a portion of an artificial grass meant for the construction of astroturf at Faaman in the Municipality. Gideon Asuako was arrested on July 4, 2022, at his hideout to assist with police investigations into the missing items. He was slapped with three counts of unlawful entry, unlawful damage, and stealing before the Berekum Circuit Court. He pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced on his own plea.

Police arrested three people in India earlier this month for allegedly repainting fire extinguishers to look like oxygen cylinders and selling them to family members of COVID-19 patients, the Times of India reported. In a police investigation, the accused scammers admitted they had already sold “many” of the fake canisters for about $180 each, police told the Times of India. A special operation by the Ghana Police Service has led to the arrest of 15 women, who are part of a gang printing and spreading fake currency notes across the Kumasi Metropolis. The gang was rounded up at separate locations in the metropolis on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, police sources confirmed to Dailymailgh.com A member of the gang, Joyce Ama Asare, 33, had earlier been arrested at the Ejura market on May 24, when she was going round buying items with some fake 100 and 200 Cedi notes to the sum of ¢1,100. The arrest of her accomplices followed earlier operations at other locations in the Metropolis and other Districts in what officers have described as most significant to detect counterfeiting. In what appears to be a rare and inexplicable event, the Minister of Health for Sudan is captured falling into a deep sleep and snoring out loud while undertaking an interview in a live broadcast on television. The minister suddenly fell so deeply asleep that he was imperceptible to the numerous calls for his attention by the hostess of the interview. Many have surmised that it may have been due extreme fatigue and enormous sleep deprivation as a result of the tireless efforts of the gatekeepers of health across the globe in this trying moments of fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. A couple of others have also raised questions about the health of the minister while wondering whether he may be narcoleptic. It is unclear what may have caused what may have led to this event.

A strikingly impressive effort by a Ghanaian to help prevent the spread of the corona virus as he invents a solar powered automated hand washing machine that enables thorough hand washing without surface contact. So this was done with a recycled barrel with a sink placed inside it. The system which has a solar panel placed at top of it from which the system is powered. The systems operates using sensors that detect hands ready for wash. This makes it easier and convenient to wash hands without contact with the surface of any part of the machine, especially the tap. And hence prevents the spread of microbes including the novel covid-19 virus, from one person to the other.
