The dominant "Artist of the Year" at the 2022 release of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has vanquished the Indian market with a platinum plague. KiDi's "Contact it" has sold north of 120,000 duplicates in India alone, subsequently giving it a platinum certificate.   Gender roles have become a very unpopular ideology everywhere in the world. The assignment of specific responsibilities exclusively to a particular gender is now considered a very archaic and hateful thing to do. In the past, women were subjected to working in the kitchen and catering to the nutritional needs of others. Cleaning the household, birthing and raising offspring in a family were additional ‘duties’ women were expected to execute and for centuries, such beliefs were the norm. For a very long time, women have been under appreciated and considered the inferior gender despite their monumental contribution to the lives of everyone else around them. This supposed “inferiority” has fuelled a lot of unprofessional and inappropriate incidents like passive aggression from co-workers which make the working space uncomfortable for the average female worker.
