The soundtrack is a love letter to Africa - Beyoncé


Subsequent to the revealing of the star-studded track listing to 'The Lion King: The Gift' album, Beyoncé, the curator of the soundtrack of the 2019 re-enactment of the classic Disney film has described it as "a love story to Africa."


Speaking to ABC News, the American Grammy award winning singer said "This soundtrack is a love letter to Africa and I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa, and not just use some of the sounds and did my interpretation of it,"

The album features a number of global heavyweights including Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Pharell, Burnaboy, Tiwa Savage,  just to mention a few. See full list below:
