CAMEROONIANS ANGRILY COME AFTER GHANAIAN RAPPER
Cameroonians are enraged by what they have described as disrespect towards them by dextrous GH rapper, Lyrical Joe (alias LJ).
LJ in a track titled, ‘My Way’, attempted a wordplay that will have Cameroonian rappers at the end of the shots that were eventually fired. This didn't go down well with all Cameroonians who have taken to social media to register their displeasure.
The latter part of the lyrics, particularly made sour references to the unending reign of the Cameroonian president, Paul Biya – who has been in power for 37 years now – and the 1986 Lake Nyos Disaster that claimed about 2,000 Cameroonian lives.

“I love a couple of friends – the Cameroonians
But all the funny replies
Y’all need to stop it mehn
How y’all tryna change the rap game
When over 20 years still y’all ain’t even change a president
I pay respect to the legends
Shout out to Samuel Eto’o
But then I had to introduce you all with this rap level
Because since 1986 you haven’t known what’s dope –
Lake Nyos gave Cameroonians the deadliest flow.” - Excerpts of My Way by LJ
Among the scores of disapproval that the cypher attracted was an angered response from Cameroonian heavyweight, Jovi who threatened to bar LJ and Sarkodie from ever entering the central African country while declaring that he was also never going to accept an invitation to perform in Ghana.
Lyrical Joe shortly apologised to Cameroon for the apparent disrespect. An apology the Mboko god, Jovi accepted.
